Pre-Event: The East – Conference for Ideas and Doers

DER OSTEN is one of the leading conferences for Eastern Germany and beyond. For the third time – and on the historically significant date of November 4 – Der Tagesspiegel is offering a platform for around 750 female and male doers from politics, business, science, and civil society.

In 2025, DER OSTEN will once again be dedicated to the motto #ShapingTogether the change brought about by challenges – but also by opportunities. What is often overlooked in the public discourse:
Eastern Germany is a space for transformation and innovation.

The conference pursues a holistic societal approach, because one thing is certain – the future can only be shaped together.
