Separate, united, resilient for the future – foundations in the face of changing political systems
Perpetual foundations are established to last for eternity. They are therefore constantly confronted with the challenges posed by changing political systems and must continue their work, despite sometimes adverse circumstances, in order to fulfil the foundation’s purpose. How can foundations protect themselves against external influence? What experiences have foundations had with historical events, and how have they continued their work? How can they make a difference in civil society when the political situation restricts society?
This will be discussed by Prof. Dr Philipp Enger, Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Koepjohann’sche Stiftung, and Marie Hoffmann, Head of the Secretariat at the Stiftung Charité Berlin. The event will be moderated by Gottfried Haufe.
A collaboration between the Koepjohann’sche Stiftung, the Schering Stiftung and the Stiftung Brandenburger Tor.
