"Nobody has any intention of building a wall!" Yet it came – and divided Germany. In the New Garden, now part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, history was written during the Potsdam Conference. The former border installations once shaped the edge of Potsdam. This guided tour offers a captivating journey into the Potsdam of the Cold War, sharing moving stories of border crossers and agents. The route leads from Glienicke Bridge, known as the “Bridge of Spies”, along the former inner-German border through the New Garden and on to the former border crossing at Bertini-Enge.
In German.
