The Axel Springer Freedom Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports human rights defenders from countries without freedom. Defending freedom and democracy and showing solidarity with those who live and suffer under authoritarian rule were always guiding principles for our company founder, Axel Springer, and the Axel Springer Freedom Foundation is continuing his legacy with renewed determination. Supported by a strong advisory board of experienced human rights defenders, the Axel Springer Freedom Foundation organizes events, installations, and publications. It also collects donations to directly support the work of dissidents and their organizations.
